Victory Academy Commissioning Service 2019 - 2020 Academic Year

Dear parents, students, faculty, and friends, We are grateful to God that we were able to start the school year with a Commissioning Service on July 27, 2019. The event was at IFGF Semarang began by worshipping together, which was followed by an encouraging sermon by Ps. Heath. We then released blessing for our school faculty, asking God to anoint them and guide them in educating our students. We also prayed for the students who moved to the next stages of their studies and asked God for His wisdom upon them. Then, it was time for the annual awards, which includes Character award, Best Uniform for male and female students, Leadership award, School spirit award, Honor Rolls, and other awards. Finally, the students presented a variety of performance, to showcase the skills and talents that the Lord has blessed them with. Firstly, there was an ensemble of guitars, violin, and cajon, playing the song “Mari Bersorak”. This performance was followed by a solo piano performance by Michael. Finally, 45 students joined in a choir to sing a selection of songs. On the song “Gambang Semarang”, which showcased Semarang’s multiculturalism, four dancers accompanied the choir. The event was ended by fellowship among parents and students, a photo booth, and a display of what the students had worked on the previous school year in fine arts, photography, and life skills.
